Officials reported the return of Maltese-flagged freighter, the Arctic Sea back to Malta after its mystic disappearance in Atlantic Ocean. The ship was inspected to be radiation free after which it was pulled to the Maltese capital, Valletta. The ship had mysteriously disappeared on its sail from Finland to Algeria, resulting to chaos on hijacking and weapons smuggling.
The pirate attacked ship was later found by Russian warship off the West Africa arresting the suspected hijackers in August.
Though claims of ship holding missiles for Iran or Syria had emerged, Russian officials had later declined the possibility. Concluding the incident, Russian and Maltese authorities remarked that the ship was recovered with the cargo of timber on board.
